Where I say 'Thank You'

I haven't done this in a while, and today just seems the perfect day (Wednesday) to write about tomorrow (Thursday) Although, to be precise, it is thursday already, time-wise.

  1. There was sun today. Need I say more? Mother Nature's new apprentice, the one responsible for NJ has finally figured out that we are desperate for sunshine, and would thank her if it were a little less cold. But of course, she might (most certainly, for there's rain in the forecast tomorrow) change her mind tomorrow, so let me thank her today. For I shall think about the lovely evening I spent in my balcony till the next time we have clear skies, and gentle breeze.
  2. My day lilies are all alive, and have multiplied over the winter. In case you didn't know, I love my own little patch of green, and I can not wait for them to bud and bloom.
  3. I feel so calm, and peaceful and content today. I do. Maybe the sun does that to you. Or it might just be that I finally got around to doing the chores at home that I kept putting off.
  4. Thursday, I will be done with one more of my dentist appointments. Ticking off those dates gives me happiness. ;) Of course, if I don't post an update soon, you know where to send your condolences.
  5. There was good news from home. My second sister, the one in India, might finally make it to USA this summer for a visit that is long due. The very idea that I might get to meet her and my darling nephews, after 3 long years, is gleeful.
  6. Last week was truly spring week. Lots of colorful blossoms everywhere. This week, I get to see my favorite color in different shades (if you live in NJ, green would be your favorite color too. you just can't help it after the torturous winters).  It is a truly heart warming when the trees sprout leaves. 'cos you know that they know when good times coming.
  7. I think Mr. Sun is the highlight of this post. I really should stop going bonkers whenever there is sunshine. Soon enough (hopefully) summer will be here, and I promise not to then complain 'how hot it is!' - at least not on the blog :D
  8. My birthday is less than a fortnight from today. I am not jumping around gleefully telling myself that 'happy birthday' is nearing,. And that itself, is something to thank the Gods for.  Instead, I am hoping that this birthday, this year, would bring me the much needed change careerwise.
  9. I am thankful for all my blog friends. Like I was telling Pramoda here, the face of friendship has changed. I am glad I chose to be part of this. And I am glad you are here to keep me company.
  10. I would also like to thank you, you and even you, for patiently reading my posts and commenting. Or silently reading my posts and not commenting. Or just lurking around to see if I would come up with something that would truly interest you to comment. I am up for the challenge. Just saying.
What are you thankful today for?

Aren't day lilies cheerful? I think so. And they take so little tending (like none) that they are fullproof! If you don't run them over with a mower, they'll thrive!

@lacochran - hey!! thanks for the visit.
yup. day lilies are the best ever. I have pink and I love them!! very low maintainence.
I spent a harrowing time dividing them last summer though, and I was scared that maybe I didn't do it right or on time.. that they might die on me. but looks like they all lived, and there's new ones too. which is the best part :D

do you have any?

What a lovely blog!
I think we have quite a few things in common, like you love the same movies,I too love comedies.
Did you also like the movie "Serendipity"?
I never get tired of seeing it again and again whenever it is shown on TV.
Here in Bangalore it has been pretty hot, and luckily for a change after many years we are getting some good April showers. If the weather continues like this with sun and rain jostling together it would be just like heaven.
Nice to know your sister would be visiting you, have fun.
And my best wishes for you birthday and your career.
Good to stumble on your blog.

Rama.

@rama - hello! and welcome to my blog. I am in love with your blog header :D and I keep going back just to look at it again. lol!
yes, I love romantic comedies. I have seen serendipity, you've got mail, sleepless in seattle, harry met sally - maybe I have a thing for meg ryan's comedies - a lot of times.
b'lore is lovely. I have only been there twice, but I like how its balanced - not as fast as hyd or laid back as chennai.
