For Want Of a Title..

.. a post was lost.

Well, not entirely. But pretty close.

It is hard to think straight with a nagging toothache. And for the record, never ever attempt to get three root canal treatments done in one day. Take it from me, absolutely run away if those three happen to be on the same side of the mouth. On second thoughts, maybe that's not so bad at all. At least I have the use of the other half, when I can manage to pry open my groaning jaws.

I am watching one of my favorite telugu movies. But I realise now, I have watched it so many times, I even know the dialogs by heart. And the costumes. And even the settings. Like there is a particular bookshelf in one of the scenes that I really like. Or the skirt that the heroine wears in one of the songs. Pretty awesome.

I remember asking my sister as a kid, how was it that heroines managed to change their costumes in few seconds. And such elaborate ones at that. Well, that was the age when I didn't know anything about video cameras. My sister painstakingly explained to me the making of motion pictures. :)

I think I once even wanted to be a model, just so that I could wear all those endless number of shoes. I am not crazy about clothes, at least not as much as shoes. :D

What are your oldest memories of going to the movies?

My sisters swear I always tortured them to take me with them, armed with my water bottle and handkerchief. I was always the excess baggage, and I pity them now when I think of it. Poor things suffered at my hands so ;)

Every couple has some opposite interests. In our case, I am the nagging whisperer in the movie halls, whereas Prasanth gets so immersed in the movie, he hates being disturbed. And he also gets horribly embarrassed when I whisper. :(

My friends and I would pick the topmost, corner seats and gossip away during the movie. Of course, we never were too loud to cause disturbance to others. And isn't the main point of watching movies entertainment? How can I not comment on a hero's new look, or a heroine's saturated make up? And lets not forget the gorgeous European cities that they chose for the long boring songs. Europe's always been one of my dream destinations. :)

I really love the way you write.
Yeah eve I keep seeing some of my favorite movies again and again, especially "Sleepless In Seattle", the particular scene where she keeps coming across her favorite scene and keeps crying. DO you kknow the name of that movie, I remember seeing it long time ago but can't remember the name. I really love that heroine, her style, and specially her well developed shoulders, my aim is to have shoulders like that.
When we go driving or when we are in the movies we hardly talk with each other, somehow we like the silence between us and enjoy our ride and the movies.
When I was very young going to movies means getting the chance of eating potato chips bought during intervals.
If sometimes my mom would refuse to buy , then the next best thing was to watch people who were having it, and imagine how good it must be tasting.
Look at the irony , now I can have as many packets of chips i want, but I don't indulge in these things, though they are stil my favorite.
Changing of dresses by the characters in the movies was always very fascinating for me too, and even I used to bug people to tell me how it was done, and many times they themselves didn't know.
Looks like you have kept your word of visiting my blogs more often: thanks a lot for your lovely comments.
It is really nice to get to know you through the net.

ah.. potato chips are to you what samosas were to me. there was a particular movie hall which was very famous for samosas!
thank you! I am glad you didn't find it creepy or annoying that I kept posting comments. However, i wanted to tell you, I read some of your deleted posts. ok, now that sounds really creepy. but believe me, I am innocent. I didn't know they were deleted till I tried to comment after reading them on reader-it kept telling me they weren't there. some of them are too good to be gone :)

Toothache. Ooh that can be bad! I was never really a movie buff. But the few times we went with friends used to be so much fun. We could take in foodstuff, not necessarily that bought in the theatre premises, and the hall would smell like a restaurant most of the time. We even managed to take in masala dosas once! ( Thanks for dropping by at my blog)

@radha - hello! wow.. how did you manage to take masala dosa inside! what fun! I know now that there are some theaters that are dine-in included. but I wonder if it would be the same fun.
